A young lady from Bortianor-Ngleshie-Amanfrom, known as Sasha White, has become a topic of discussion on social media after getting a tattoo of Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, one of the presidential aspirants of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), on her back.

Ms. White fully supports Mr. Agyapong’s bid for the presidency in the upcoming 2024 general election, and believes he is the best candidate to help the NPP retain power.

Kennedy Agyapong is currently the Member of Parliament for the Assin Central Constituency and is vying for the flagbearer position for the NPP. According to Ms. White, her decision to support Mr. Agyapong is due to her admiration for his record in seeking the welfare of Ghana’s youth and the grassroots of the NPP, as well as his potential as a future president.

“People do not understand why I say I am for Ken. First of all, he is there for the youth. Two, he thinks about delegates and the grassroots,” she stated.

The NPP has scheduled November 4, 2023, as the date for its presidential primaries to elect a flagbearer for the 2024 presidential elections. Kennedy Agyapong will be competing with other key aspirants such as Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen, and Dr. Afriyie Akoto.

Ms. White is convinced that some members of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) are also in support of Mr. Agyapong’s presidential bid, and has urged NPP delegates to give him the mandate to become the next president of Ghana.

“Who are you to say you don’t want Ken when even NDC members (opposition) are saying they want him?” she queried in an interview with The Ghana Report on Mama Radio.

While Ms. White’s tattoo of Mr. Agyapong may seem extreme, it underscores the passion and enthusiasm that Ghanaians have for politics and the upcoming presidential election.
